Jazz up your mornings t o have a great day

Feeling of Deja Vu?

Is it that simple to have a great day by simply beginning our day right? Can we really jazz up our mornings and dance our way through the rest of the day?

Haven’t we all, at some point in time or other, experienced that unexplainable exuberant feeling of “it’s going to be a great day ahead” or have drowned in that nagging feeling of “today is not my day”.  And this, even before we have started our day or set a foot outside our home. Well then, have you ever paused to reflect on how your day went before going to bed? Eerie it may feel !! More often than not, our initial gut feeling about our day would have found validation.

Wake up with a positive note, full of energy and eager to face the day, and guess what? Scale for the rest of the day magically tilts in your favor. You somehow end up happy, productive, and satisfied for the rest of your day and hit the pillow with a feeling of having accomplished and achieved so much. You might even end up sleeping better. So, to say that a day that begins well, will more often than not end well, might not be an exaggeration.

How did I wake up today?

How you start your mornings can make or break your day. Your first few minutes are the most important part of your day and can set the tone for positivity and productivity. With proper planning, good morning strategies, and a positive state of mind, you can begin the day the right way and make the scale for the rest of the day tilt in our favor.

Personally, I’ve found I’m much more likely to make decisions that support my self-care and well-being when I haven’t spent the morning scrambling and stressed. Plus, a lot of activities you can include in your morning routine may be self-care all on their own.

Spend a few minutes in solitude- reflecting, journaling, or with nature, before the frantic daily dose of dizziness strikes you. It will probably be the most profitable investment, you will ever make giving your mental and physical health a much-needed boost. So, here are a few suggestions of things you might want to add to your morning routine.

Everyone’s ideal morning routine will be different, so experiment with what works for you. Remember, though it might look difficult, the key is consistency.

Start on a Positive Note

Have you realized how a simple but cheerful, “Good Morning!” can bring an instant positive spark to your day?

Our mindset is a very powerful tool. One single waking thought goes a long way to determine how the day is going to be. Did you know, it’s scientifically proven that when you consciously put a smile on your face it gradually starts making you feel happy? Try to think about something happy before you open your eyes in the morning. Gift yourself a beautiful smile that you can wear and share throughout the day!

Practice Gratitude

Life is as beautiful as we can perceive it. Begin your day, appreciating the things around you. Be thankful for waking up to enjoy another day, for having the loved ones around you, for the morning cup of tea! Gratitude plays a big role in determining your happiness quotient throughout the day. Try to practice it first thing in the morning and you can thank me later!

“Morning has broken like the first morning.” Every morning is a brand-new day. It is the window for fresh possibilities. Wake up with optimism rather than regrets. Set the goals to make a positive impact for the rest of the day and take a step forward to rectify the mistakes of the previous days. Writing on a clean slate brings much more clarity. Leave the burden of the past to the past. Start the new day on a fresh note. It helps to solve the problems faster and easier.

Start by Being Grateful

Situations in life are always not in our control. However, the way we react to situations is very much in our hands. We can either be whiny and irritated about every stumble on the way or accept the challenges as part of life’s many surprises and move along; the choice is with us. As Alice Morse Earle has said, “Every day may not be good… but there’s something good in every day.”
